Following a brief to create a calm serene living kitchen, with carefully considered storage, design and material choices we started with Systemat. Systemat is a premium German kitchen brand that are not only functional and extremely well thought out, but of the highest quality and exceptional design. Their ethos centres around the kitchen being the heart of the house and therefore must be hardwearing, robust and offer exceptional storage.
We selected basalt grey & taupe satin lacquer, which work in perfect harmony with white décor, to offer an earthy warmth whilst maintaining the feeling of calm. To complement the basalt grey, we used Ginger Corian worktops from the Caesarstone collection. Caesarstone® surfaces never require sealing while large slab sizes provide a sleek and modern finish. They also offer the added benefit of being scratch resistant, non-porous, waterproof, mould and mildew resistant.
Central to the functionality of the kitchen are the appliances. A busy kitchen requires appliances which perform at a consistently high level and are versatile. We opted for the Siemens Flex Induction Hob which couple’s innovation with flexibility, allowing more convenient, accurate and quicker meal preparation.
Continuing with Siemens, we installed built-in vertical ovens to allow a space saving but aesthetically pleasing solution. The Siemens ovens feature activeClean® technology using a process which is known as pyrolysis. The oven is heated to a very high temperature that causes the food remnants inside to turn to ashes. You can then simply wipe out the oven.
We completed the install with inclusion of a Quooker tap to further add to the functionality of this serene yet working kitchen and living space.
This project was centred around creating a functional but pleasing space for quality family time, an ethos very close to our heart, here at Cameron Interiors.
